Well the 4th week of summer camp has gone by, and it's so hard to believe that we are almost at the half way point of camp! This week was shorter due to the July 4th holiday, but we were still able to plan all of the fun activities for the kids this week! The only camps in session for this week was Adventure Camp and Art Camp, as Golf, Tennis, and Learning & Growing Camps were not in session that week. We have a fixed schedule for Adventure Camp, so each day we planned different indoor and outdoor games for the children such as capture the flag, dodgeball, and 3 legged races! On Tuesday, we took the Teen Camp to the beach for a swim day and also did a beach clean up to help out the Clearwater/Palm Harbor community! For the other kids stayed behind at the Y, they swam for 2 hours at the pool and played on the playground outside. Wednesday was our field trip day, and this week we ventured out to GattiTown, which is pretty much a combination of CiCi's Pizza and Chuck-E-Cheese! The kids loved it so much! They ate to their hearts content with pizza, pasta and salad, and enjoyed playing the arcade games! On Thursday, we threw a pajama party for the kids, so it was a lot of fun getting to see the kids come to camp in their comfy looking pj's! We let them watch the animated movie, The Nut Job, ate popcorn, and did a special craft activity afterwards followed by swim and indoor/outdoor games. Although it was a short week, I enjoyed the activities that Jackie planned for the kids and I'm super excited to work with her again next week for preschool camp as we teach them numbers and colors! :)
Have a great week everyone and till next time!
Dang, sign me up for camp at the Y with Brooke!
