SIena week 5

Well week 5 at Siena has come and gone and I had my first experience as a Jehovah's Witness. Ok not really but I passed out so many fliers that it kind of felt like it. The best response I got was when I said "I'm with the Underground Railroad History Project" and a man immediately responded with "Underground Railroad?! Oh sh**, gimme some of those!"  This week was all about 4th of July. Every year Underground Rail Road History Project has an event on 4th of July. This year, Alice Green came to speak about Mass Incarceration in America and how it's like a new form of Slavery. I worked the merchandise table and had some success, more than anyone has had in the past at least. There was good food, live music and it was just a merry little celebration. I also saw fireworks so that was cool. Apparently M-80 fights and traps are a thing here in Albany, but thankfully I didn't run into any of that.
We did some work in the gardens as always and actually sold some veggies at our event. I got some peas out of the deal so that was cool. Handing out fliers around the lunch trucks at the Capital was the least fun because people are rude but overall I would call this week a win. Week 6 starts camp so there will be lots of fun things to talk about, WEEEEEEEEEE!!

Alright, bye.
