Week 1
This week I began by learning how things work here at border collie in the summer. Every morning we start out with the same routine, dogs go out, food goes into bowls, dogs come in and some crates are cleaned. The following time the dogs go out, we check to see which dogs need baths. The thirst rotation is my favorite, because you get to know the dogs on a better basis, you get to play with them and train them; more of a fun time for us and the dogs.
Here at the border collie rescue we have new dogs every now and then. Well, this week we had two new dogs: Rocky and Skylar. Two great looking border collie mixes. I see them getting homes fairly soon, both are great. Rocky is a beautiful looking pup, does great with people, his only side affect is he does not get along well with other dogs, this may be a concern with getting adopted. As for Skylar, she is very shy, its something we all hope will go away with some love and care.
