Week 3 - We're In There!

Alright so I'm used to this whole 6 o'clock thing and the kids have gotten used to me being in the classroom again so we're all good. I have my own math group now which is really neat! The group includes ESOL students from the first grade class that help as well as the class next door. The teacher says the instructions and I repeat them in Spanish. I really just repeat the numbers because the kids don't know the other words in Spanish either which a lot of people don't understand. The kids feel more comfortable around me though since Spanish is their first language. There is the student in one of the kindergarten classes that only knows 1 of her letters and that is really frustrating because we're in May. She can't do any of the work by herself because she can't sound out anything. She transferred from another school which is unfortunate because it is too late to play catch up.
